Svetlana has played a sold out show at Joe's Pub in NYC for her birthday. The program was entitled “Born To Swing!” – “Swing for Spring, Svetlana & The Delancey Five: Swing for Spring – A Birthday Celebration!

Svetlana was thrilled to have a stellar lineup for this concert, with Svetlana on vocals, the finalist of both Monk Piano Competion and American Pianist Competition Billy Test on piano, critically acclaimed Rob Garcia on drums, Jazz at Lincoln Center Emerging Artist 2019 fellow (www.jazz.org) Endea Owens on bass, and a stellar horn section including Charles Caranicas, Michael Hashim, and Corey Wallace. The venue was boasting at the seams with audience having to take up spots in the sound engineer box and many folks lining up around the block waiting for last minute tickets to be released. The audience got to experience special magic in this unique show celebrating Svetlana’s birthday and felt their pulse quicken and their hearts thaw out from the winter blues! Svetlana & The Delancey Five transported the listeners to the carnival of sound, seamlessly moving from sophisticated tender tones to a rowdy dance party!

Svetlana has played a selection of songs she loves, including tunes from 1930s hot jazz and swing repertoire such as Lady Be Good, Just Squeeze Me, You Turned The Tables on Me, arrangements of pop and rock tunes, such as God Only Knows by The Beach Boys and Because by the Beatles, and jazz songs that were written for movies such as Pure Imagination through the ages - as well as Svetlana's brand new originals!

We felt surrounded by love and had an after-party at the Joe's Pub Library room into the wee hours of the morning! It is always so much fun playing at Joe’s Pub - Svetlana will be back there to release her new record in the fall!
