Svetlana and the Delancey Five were delighted to be invited to play a part of the vintage jazz band at the special Making LA Marvelous Event by Amazon Prime / Amazon Studios and Blue Note Jazz Club.

Coney Island car - guests could take Polaroids of the scene
Official event invite promised an immersive entertainment experience and it certainly delivered! From getting a taste of Russ & Daughters bagels, hearing Svetlana & The Delancey Five band in the erected Blue Note pop up stage, to riding in the car of the Coney Island Wonder Wheel - the guests experienced the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel-inspired world on Melrose in Los Angeles. Based on the fourth season of the Prime Video series, the pop-up included mahjong tables, a roving magician and a Coney Island photo opp. there are two specialty bars serving themed mocktails called The Button and The Blue Note – which are both delicious! Past the neon Marvelous Mrs. Maisel sign sits the set for Suzie's office, complete with donuts and a typewriter where the secretary encourages you to type your favorite moment from season 4.
Guests could partake in Russ & Daughters’ bagels and other light fair from the famous NYC Delicatessen

Bleeding Cool blog reviewed the event noting “The highlight of the event (aside from everything) is the five-piece jazz band and singer performing on the Blue Note stage. Svetlana (@SvetlanaJazz) and the Delancey Five are phenomenal and added the flair of a real NYC jazz club to the event with sets every hour”
A jazz reviewer, Michael Doherty stopped by the event and marveled at Svetlana’s performance “The pop-up venue included a recreation of the Blue Note stage, and it was there that the band performed. They did an absolutely delightful set, the highlight for me being an excellent rendition of “Someone To Watch Over Me,” one of my favorite songs”
The guests felt absolutely transported into the Marvelous Ms. Maisel NYC of 60s. Many guests were decked out in their 60s vintage best, with the band, having taken advantage of full make up / hair / stylist department, adding its elegant appearance and music curated to include the tunes from the show soundtrack, to enhance the authentic New York vintage mood of the event. The patrons love our upbeat swing music and vintage jazz selections - and often moved to dance and of course enjoy the night on the dance floor of the “Blue Note” jazz club! .
